Forever Summer Reading Q&A with Katie MacAlister

#ForeverSummerReading Q&A with Katie MacAlister

What are three words to describe your new book, Memoirs of a Dragon Hunter?

KM: Sexy, sassy, and scrumptious. Alliteration for the win!

What is your go-to summer drink?

KM: Lemonade, and all the variations on it: frozen lemonade, raspberry lemonade, lemonade with big chunks of strawberry swimming around in it, and lemonade poured over slices of lemon and oranges. I love it so much that I drink it year round, and hot lemonade is a favorite beverage when I’m sick. I know, I’m weird.

Where is your dream vacation?

KM: London! I’ve lived there (many years ago) and to me, it’s the best city to visit. I love the people, love all the sights and museums, and love the history that is imbued down into the bones of the city. It’s a fascinating place, and I’d love to go see it again. Over and over and over again…

Favorite summer themed movie?

KM: It’s not wholly set in summer, but I think of Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth version) as a lovely summer movie because so much of it is set with the ladies strolling around in their light lawn dresses, with gentle breezes ruffling their hair. And Colin Firth diving into that pond. Mmrowr.

What character in your new book would you want to hang out with this summer and why?

KM: Probably Sasha. She amused me so much that I included her sister in the next book in the series simply so I’d have an excuse to see Sasha again. She’s fun, she’s quirky, and she says everything that I wish I could say. She’d be a fabulous summer buddy.

Memoirs of a Dragon Hunter by Katie MacAlister will be available on August 28, 2018.
